Obituary of Mary Frances Pelton

Mary Pelton, 85, of State College, died Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg. Born May 18, 1931 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of John G. Blasko and Mary Marince Blasko. She married in Osceola Mills to Charles Pelton on August 15, 1953, who survives at home. She is survived by a daughter, Lynda Sue Tasselli of Duncansville; two grandchildren, David Tasselli and his wife, Charlie of Pittsburgh and Tracey Lynn Tasselli-Boyes and her husband, Nathan of Vancouver, WA; two great grandsons, Zayne Boyes and Ace Boyes, and two siblings, John W. Blasko and his wife, Penny of Boalsburg and Patricia Blasko of State College. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Judith Collen Figart. Mary was a 1949 graduate of Philipsburg High School. She worked as a legal secretary in the Baird- McCamley Law offices in Philipsburg and McQuade-Blasko Law offices in State College. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Neil Dadey officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Philipsburg. Memorial contributions may be directed to Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf care of WPSD Alumni Association, 300 East Swissvale Ave., Pittsburgh, PA, 15218.
