Obituary of Patricia L. Bloom

Patricia "Pat" L. Bloom, 80, of Port Matilda, died October 21, 2016, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born January 2, 1936 in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Kathryn Eleanor Miller Saxion. She married Donald "Bud" Russell Bloom, on December 17, 1960, who preceded her in death on November 9, 2012. Pat was a graduate of State College High School. She was employed as a switch board secretary with Bell Telephone in Harrisburg. After her marriage to Bud she became a homemaker. She enjoyed attending auctions and flea markets, which she referred to as "fleaing". She particularly loved fleaing in Belleville, which led to many wonderful friendships throughout the Amish Community. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October, 24, 2016 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Susan Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery, State College.
