Our Full Funeral Service(Traditional) includes, but is not limited to: our staff responding to the initial request for services including the care of the deceased; arrangement conference with the family or responsible party; preparation and filing of necessary certificates and permits; placement of obituaries in newspapers and social media; planning of the funeral arrangements; and coordination of services with the cemetery, crematory, vault companies and others as required.

While there is an increased interest in personalized funerals and cremations, a Traditional Service follows a traditional pattern so families know what to expect. A traditional funeral makes many of your choices easier because there is an established etiquette for the different stages of the ceremony.

The National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) conducted a survey to calculate the median cost of a funeral. In 2021, the median cost was $7,848 without a vault; including the vault increased the cost to $9,420. The cost does not take into account cemetery, monument or marker costs or miscellaneous cash-advance charges, such as for flowers or an obituary.

Many factors contribute to how an individual funeral home prices its good and services, including the firm's business philosophy and the market in which it operates.

Selected Independent Funeral Homes

Why Choose a Selected Funeral Home?
The independent funeral homes that are members of this trade association are here to help you before, during and after your time of need.

  • They are Invited Into membership only after meeting rigorous selection criteria.
  • They are carefully screened for their commitment to quality, range of consumer choices, affordability and high standards.
  • They are privately owned, meaning that your needs come first.
  • They view their reputation as their most valuable asset.
  • They must demonstrate ongoing high standards based on feedback from the families and individuals they serve.

As funeral directors, our calling imposes upon us special responsibilities to those we serve and to the public at large. An important obligation is to provide information so that everyone can make knowledgeable decisions about funeral and cremation services.

We pledge to conduct ourselves at all times in a manner deserving of the public trust, and to provide a copy of this Code of Good Practice to the families we serve.
