Obituary of Vickie A. Stephens
Vickie A. Stephens, 58, of State College, died on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at her residence.
Born on August 29, 1956 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of Richard E. and Mary Lou Rishel Duck, who survive.
Also surviving are two daughters, Melanie Stephens of Huntingdon and Michele Stephens of State College; one brother, Jann R. Duck of Centre Hall; two grandchildren, Kaylah and Donovan Nyman.
She was a 1974 graduate of State College Area High School and a graduate of South Hills Business School.
Vickie was employed at Penn State University’s Conferences and Institutes Planning as an Administrative Assistant.
She attended Mount Nittany United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed spending numerous hours with her grandchildren. She was an avid Penn State Football fan being a season ticket holder for over 25 years. Vickie enjoyed venturing into various craft projects on her own and looked forward to attending the Centre County Grange Fair as a tent holder for over 30 years.
Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015 at the funeral home with the Reverend’s Edward Preston and Jim Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Centre County Paws, 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801.
