Obituary of Ruby Kathryn Ross Fogle

Ruby Kathryn Ross Fogle, 90, a loving, caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, of State College, went to be with the lord, on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born on May 1, 1925, in Warriors Mark, she was the daughter of the late Emory J. and Eva Ruth Burns Ross. On November 6, 1948 she married Scott R. Fogle, who preceded her in death on January 1, 1999. She is survived by three children, Richard R. Fogle and Kevin S. Fogle, both of State College and Mary Katharyn Fogle and her husband, Tib Bunnell, of Warriors Mark; three sisters, Florence Neff and Hope Ross, both of Warriors Mark and Monna Hoover of State College; three grandchildren, Jennifer Midis and her husband, Nick, Alex Fogle and Katharyn “Kayte” Kocher; three great-grandchildren, Panos, Ruby, and Alexandra Midis; two-step-granddaughters, Taylor and Madison Bunnell. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Elizabeth “Liza” Kocher on May 3, 2015. Ruby was a 1942 graduate of Warriors Mark High School. She worked at Sylvania and Claster’s prior to becoming a full-time stay at home mother upon the birth of her first child. She was the center of the most important aspect of her life, her family. Ruby loved football, wrestling and was a member of the Penn State Wrestling Club. She was also a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 250 East College Avenue, State College, with the Reverend Eric Shafer officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
