Obituary of Karl A. Muller Jr.
Karl A. Muller, Jr., 91, of State College, formerly of Naperville, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Juniper Village at Brookline, State College.
Born February 26, 1924, in Gonzales, LA, son of the late Karl A. and Evie Marchant Muller. On December 15, 1962, he married Betty Jane Lowery, his wife of 52 years, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Patricia J. Rost of Cicero, NY, one son, Karl A. Muller, III, and his wife, Sandra Wilkey Muller, of Port Matilda; one sister, Karleen Taylor and her husband, Nicholas, of Baton Rouge, LA; one grandson, Alexander Rost of Cicero, NY; three granddaughters, Stephanie Morgan, Sydney Alyssa and Kelsey Alexis Muller of Port Matilda.
Karl graduated in 1944 from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
He worked for Amoco his entire career, retiring in 1984.
Karl led an active life and participated in many events including the Illinois and National Senior Olympics and RAGBRI. He and his wife, Jane, lived in Naperville, IL for over 37 years and were members of Wesley United Methodist Church of Naperville.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m., on Monday, July 27, 2015 in the Atrium at Wesley United Methodist Church, 21 E. Franklin Ave, Naperville, IL.
Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with the Reverend Duane B. Mevis officiating. A reception will follow at the church.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
