Obituary of Donald Russell Weaver

Donald Russell Weaver, 79, of State College, died August 28, 2015, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born July 26, 1936 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Russell Sylvester and Eunice Virginia Williams Weaver. He married Helen Laird, on August 27, 1959, who survives at home. He is survived by a son, Keith E. Weaver, of State College, a sister, Barbara E. Weaver, of State College, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Nikki. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul D. Weaver. He served in the United States Air Force. Don was a 1954 graduate of Port Martilda High School. He attended Penn State University. He was employed as an Electrical Engineer with Kraullsramer Branson of Lewistown and Secor of State College. He was a member of the Bald Eagle Baptist Church in Martha’s Furnace. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 1, 2015 at Koch Funeral Home with Reverend Sam Reese officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery, Martha’s Furnace.
