Obituary of Dorothea E. Reish

Dorothea “Dottie” E. Reish, 94, of Boalsburg, died Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Centre Crest, Bellefonte. Born May 7, 1921, in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of the late John C. and Elizabeth Smith Noll. On June 20, 1942 she married Korman Reish, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2014. Dottie is survived by her daughter, Nancy B. Parko and her husband, Larry, of Pleasant Gap, and two granddaughters, Christina Parko and Joy Routheaux. She graduated from Harris Township High School in 1939 and attended Drake’s Business School, Elizabeth, N.J. She worked in the Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University for seven years. She then began working as a secretary for the State College Area School District, where she worked for twenty years, until her retirement in 1983. Dottie was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Boalsburg, Centre Squares, and School Retirees for Pennsylvania State Education Association. She enjoyed reading and traveling. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Mitch Smith officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
