Obituary of Gloria Churchill Brashers
Gloria Churchill Brashers, 63, of State College, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at home.
Gloria was born on September 20, 1952, in Bryn Mawr. She was the daughter of the late Thomas J. Comitta and Rose M. Santoleri Comitta, who survives. On August 15, 1981, she married, William Ralph Brashers, Jr., who also survives.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by three children, Brett William Brashers of Philadelphia, Christie Rose Brashers and her husband, Justin Ezell, of Santa Cruz, CA and Kyle Thomas Brashers of State College and grandson, Jackson Gadsby Ezell; one brother, Thomas J. Comitta, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, of West Chester, PA; one sister, Ann Marie Calabria and her husband, Robert D. Calabria of Morrisville, NC and her nieces and nephews.
She graduated from John W. Hallahan High School and attended Temple University. She was a designer at Celebrating Home Direct and Decorating and Gift Sales Owner of Gloria’s “Gifts-To-Go.”
She was an active member of New Hope Church. Gloria’s strong faith in the Lord helped her stay positive as she endured the spread of breast cancer. Gloria always had a smile on her face and a loving spirit.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., on Friday, October 23, 2015, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 am, on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the funeral home with the Pastors Ben Frank and Chris Rufener officiating.
Burial will be in Graysville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Church, 318 S. Atherton St, State College, PA 16801.
