Paula,
We are deeply saddened by the news of Roy's passing. We enjoyed hiking with you and Roy. Roy was very supportive of Keystone Trails Association and we appreciated his efforts on behalf of the hiking community. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Wanda Shirk posted a condolence

Roy often came to Keystone Trails Association spring and fall hiking weekends, where he was a quietly-enthusiastic participant not only as a hiker but also as an involved listener and intelligent attender of council meetings. He always appeared young and healthy, so I was shocked as well as deeply saddened to learn of his passing. He will certainly be fondly and respectfully honored in our Remembrance Ceremony at the annual meeting next fall. We send our love to his family and thank all of you for your gifts to KTA in memory of Roy. Sincerely, Wanda Shirk, President, Keystone Trails Association.
