Had several encounters with Carl over the years. He visited our home and critiqued my playing of the accordion, however, I never knew, until now, that he was a virtuoso of the "squeeze box". I did ask him to teach me the accordion but he joked saying I was "over-the-Hill" gang.I enjoyed our several meetings for breakfast and numerous discussions at the Knights of McDonalds round table with the rest of the guys.
I was especially honored when he gave me his cherished accordion.
As a gesture of appreciation, I presented an evening of dinner music at Foxdale.
I was truly honored to have met and spent some time with Carl.
I and Mrs Persic offer our condolences to Mrs Miller and the family.
God Bless Carl, may he rest in peace.
Dr. and Mrs. Louis Persic

Memories of Mr. Miller flooded when I learned of his passing. Early in life I found it a contradiction that such an imposing figure could be so accomplished and appreciative of the performing arts. Of all of the memories the one of him riding his motorcycle through town (no helmet, mustache and hair flowing in the breeze) shines through the most. I think he played chess with my father, Bob, and Mr. Viggiano, a fellow teacher and chess master. I remember him as a giant, but it may have been because I was so young and small. It saddens me that his mission on earth is accomplished, but it heartens me that he is in the company of his Maker.

I am saddened by the news of his death. I enjoyed Mr Miller's music class at Seaford Junior High and his direction of the choir at St. Johns Church. He was a great and gifted man. We have truly lost a great person. RIP Mr Miller.

My prayers for the family. Carl was a teacher of mine from many years ago in Seaford Delaware. I have great memories of him as I am sure you do too. I am not one to remember many teachers at age 65, only the special ones and he was one of those. Gods peace be with the family

I just found out about this...I'm so sorry. I loved Mr. Miller's music class in Jr High in Seaford. I loved his voice. He was really easy to listen to (talk or sing), which made me want to pay attention. I love music, and Mr. Miller is part of the reason why. He sometimes would take out a pack of Camel's and make them walk across the top of the piano...I loved it. God bless you folks.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Mr. Miller's family. I was one of his students, Mandy Fisher, and my dad, Fred Fisher, worked closely with him as a band parent. I have many fond memories from my junior high days which include practicing marching in the parking lot and singing solos! He greatly impacted so many young people! Thank you.
