James was a study partner of mine at the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, NJ as well as at Yeshiva Gedolah of Greater Seattle. We also did outreach together. We were in Lubavitcher sect. One Shabbat around 1982 we were walking in Seattle headed to give a speech at a synagogue. We were wearing black hats, dark suits and sunglasses, and a passerby commented “I know who you two are” referring to our similar look to the Blues Brothers.
