My Dear Brother Rich,
You are now at your final resting place, Arlington National Cemetary, as you were aware the weather was beautiful for your honored burial service. The tears flowed and the emotions ran high, but all of us was support for each other.

I had the privilege of communicating with Mr. Eastwood over the past few years. He was always a very dedicated leader that ensured the young men and women within his ROTC program were taken care of. His lost reminds me the importance of treating people with dignity and respect. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Mr. Eastwood was a warrior on numerous fronts. My responsibility to his legacy is to ensure his Cadets receive the highest standards of support. Rest in peace my friend and you are truly missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this most difficult time. It is never pleasant when we lose a love one and the hurt and pain seems like it will never cease. However, in time healing takes place but is different for everyone. The memories will never fade away - there seemed to be many good times that everyone will cherish that allows them to remember Rich in their own way. As a spiritual man, Rich understood that death is only temporary because the blessings of the resurrection are permanent. And we all look to the time when what is spoken at Revelations 21:4 is a reality. As a family friend of Hope & Kathleen Gardepe and I have heard lots about the wonderful time they had with Rich on their visits with him. Lauren and Wesley (my grandchildren) often spoke of the good times they had on their visits. Know that we care!
