Obituary of Paul E. Anderson

Paul F. Anderson, 93, of State College, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Greenhills Village, State College. Born May 25, 1922 in Charleroi, he was the son of the late Paul F. and Hilda S. Anderson. He is survived by two daughters, Ginni Odom, of Orlando, FL, Barbara Figart and her husband, Dale, of San Antonio, TX, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Paul was a 1941 graduate of Charleroi High School and a graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce. He served in the US Army in Europe from 1942 - 1945. He fought in Normandy, France and in the Battle of the Bulge. He was employed with the Penn State University as an Accountant from 1955 to 1981. He loved volunteering at the local Salvation Army from 2001 until 2010. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, with Majors Charles and Patricia Niedermeyer officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
