Obituary of Kevin Douglas Rees
Kevin Douglas Rees (1961-2016) passed away March 29, 2016 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center. Kevin was born April 27, 1961 in Princeton, N.J. He was preceded in death by his father Dana Melville Rees. He is survived by his partner Donna Mills; children Dale Robert Rees, Kyler Deja Gordon-Rees, Kory Ira Rees; grandson Aden John Rees; half-brother Benjamin Lewis Rees; mother Diana Bamford-Rees; step-mother Nancy Rees; step-sisters Tambra Leonard, Ariel Leonard; step-brother Corwin Leonard; former spouses Terri Reh, Dana Diane Gordon; great uncle Don Shuey; uncle David Rees; aunts Nanette Rees, Deborah Bamford; cousins Benjamin Bennett, Ashley Bennett, Alyssa Opresnick (Mike), Darcie Bochenek (Chad), Deneen Marini (Larry), Scarlett Opresnick; and countless friends.
Kevin spent his early years in and around Pennington, N.J. After graduating from high school he became a U.S. Army Airborne Ranger, 2nd Battalion. After his military service, Kevin attended Penn State University, studied Environmental Engineering, and was employed in that field most of his adult life. While attending Penn State, he served as president of the Penn State Veteran's Organization. Kevin lived in Centre County, Pennsylvania. Kevin's many passions included hunting and deep sea diving. At the time of his death he was a talented wood artisan and owner of KR Designs In Wood.
A Celebration of Life will be held May 21, 2016 from Noon until 3:00 p.m. at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, State College.
