From a young age I've always looked up to Garet. On the basketball court he was truly gifted. I remember the first time I saw him at psu basketball camp. He was so tall and talented. I immediately said I wanna be as good as him one day. I didn't get to know him until highschool basketball camp. When Garet me and Michael Hall were all on the same team. I hated state high camp but having Garet on my team made it a great memory. He was so gifted and always cracked jokes and lighted the mood during boring parts. In highschool Garet was always nice and would go out of his way to talk to me a kid 2 grades below him. He helped me whenever he could and it was truly a blessing to have had him in my life. I hope everyone struggling can remember all the positive memories and get through this tough time. Rest in peace Garet and thank you for effecting so many peoples lifes.

Garet was a wonderful young man whose smile was contagious. As a youngster, put a basketball in his hand and the smile grew even bigger. We as part of his extended family will feel his loss for a long time. God Bless you Garet.
