Obituary of David Heim
David E. Heim, 70, of State College, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born June 26, 1945 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Edwin and Sally Ann McNaughton Heim. He married Penelope Rodrigo, on December 13, 1986, she survives at home.
He is survived by three children, a daughter Vicki Lynn Hall and her husband Shane, of Aviano, Italy, two step daughters Jane Soura and her husband, Gary, of State College and Lynda Anne Fratello and her husband, B. Paul, of Ft. Myers, FL, two sisters, Yvonne Cody, of Harrisburg, Sue Benny and her husband, Dr. Terry Benny, of Norristown and two grandchildren, Alexander Jules Hall and Wyatt T. Hall.
David served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was Lutheran by faith.
He received his bachelor's degree in Education and History from Shippensburg University in 1970.
He was employed as an outside salesman for Penn Warranty Corporation.
A graveside service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11:00 am with military honors.
