Obituary of David Karl McHugh

David Karl "Dave" McHugh, 62, of State College, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Juniper Village at Brookline, State College. Born January 3, 1954, in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late John and Annette Shirey McHugh. On July 7, 1990, he married Deborah English, who survives. He is also survived by his sister, Pamela McIntosh and her husband, Randy, of Lamar and five nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his identical twin brother, Michael E. McHugh on August 31, 2015. Dave was a 1972 graduate of State College Area High School. He received a Bachelor's degree from the Health and Human Development Department at Penn State University. He was a salesman for various dealerships throughout State College, including Shields Motor Company and State College Motors. He retired from Maggi Mitsubishi in 2015. David was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was a Civil War buff especially of the Battel of Gettysburg. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 p.m., on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College. Friends are welcome to attend a graveside service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Pine Hall Cemetery, State College. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Hwy, Centre Hall, PA 16828 or to Centre County PAWS, 1401 Trout Rd, State College, PA 16801.
