To the family and friends of Jeanne Smith, I would like to express my deepest and heartfelt condolences to you. I am truly sorry for the lost that your family is feeling. When ever we lose such a caring and loving person, it is the hardest experience that any of us can go thru. And because of that my thoughts and prayers are with your family. During this extremely difficult time, please turn to God for much needed comfort and support. He promise to give Mrs. Smith family, the needed strength in order to endure this great lost. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) Something else that can bring your family comfort, is cherishing the wonderful memories that you have of Mrs. Jeanne. These precious memories will console the family in the day's ahead.

Jeanne was my second grade teacher at Paoli Pike Elementary School and the inspiration for me to become a second grade teacher. I grew up around the corner from Mrs. Smith, my house was on Parkside Avenue. I am about to enter my 40th year as a primary grade level teacher in the Kennett Consolidated School District. Your mom was my hero. A highlight in my career was when I attended a reading conference and she was there. I was able to share with her that I, too, had become a second grade teacher!
Mrs. Smith was a wonderful teacher and served as a model for me! Susan Schooler Yocum
