Cathy, My deepest sympathies on the passing of your Mother. I was researching past State College High School Friends, and where they might be at this time in our lives, 56 years after we graduated from High School. Your Mother had quite a wonderful history of successes, as did your Father in His Jewelry Store Business. I am impressed as you end up in the world in Canada, Turkey, etc. as a Certified International Teacher. You are to be congratulated. I loved your recording of how you and your husband ended up in Canada as more and more people were drafted for the Vietnam War. I remember fellow Computer Programmer Operators at Penn States Computer Science Building leaving in the middle of the night for Canada as they were called up to serve. I do not blame any individual who made the conscientious decision to not serve such a controversial war. We had a number of classmates who came back after the war who were spat on for their service. So we saw a number of positives and negatives on both sides of our involvement in the War. I myself was 4-F classified, because of my back, and could not serve. I trust you and your family are doing well. Again my sympathies on your Mother’s passing. I hope some day to see you again in the State College area. Best Wishes, Take Care and May God Bless You and Your Family.
Sincerely,
George,
George Colwell

Phyllis was one of our favorite patients and a great woman. Cindy and I used to work at the Autoport and enjoyed seeing her there at parties and really enjoyed her wit charm and trend setting behavior. She was an advocate for healthy food before it was popular and a model for all survivors of cancer.
She is now with my mom in heaven they were just a few months apart in birth and death. They both are free of their bodily restraints and their spirits and love will be with us forever.
Sincerely,
Roy M Love, DC
