Obituary of Paul E. Bier
Paul E. Bier, 75, of Boalsburg, died Monday, July 11, 2016, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born July 26, 1940, in Kitchener, Ontario, he was the son of the late Cecil and Hulda Schmidt Bier. On October 26, 2007 in State College, he married Anna Vragovich, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Julie Ello-Martin and her husband, Rodney, of PA Furnace and Frank T. Ello and his wife, Kerry, of Bellefonte; four grandchildren, Madison Martin, Megan and Taylor Sickels and Britney Gambocurta; one great-grandchild, Trenton Eger; three cousins, Janet and Ross Alminge, both of Waterloo, Ontario and Dave Leslie and his wife, Diane, of Linwood, Ontario.
Paul retired as a Mechanical Drafter and then started CEB Tooling Systems. .
He was a member of the Good Shepherd Missouri Synod Lutheran Church. Being an avid lover of trains, he belonged to the North Central Pennsylvania Mountain Garden Railroad Society. He also spent much of his time volunteering, first in Canada and then here in State College with RSVP.
Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m., on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Missouri Synod Lutheran Church, 851 Science Park Road, State College, with the Reverend Bryan J. Spang officiating.
Burial will be in Graysville Cemetery.
