Obituary of Beverly J. Reagan

Beverly Jane Reagan went to her heavenly home on Saturday, August 13, 2016, in Greenville, SC. She was a devoted mom, grandma, sister, and friend, touching many lives every day of her life. Born in Pittsburgh on January 18, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Bess Clawson Parks and Henry Parks. She was a graduate of Turtle Creek High School (Pittsburgh) and received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Indiana University and a master's degree in adult education from Florida International University. Beverly gave her life to serving others. She was never too busy to lend a helping hand. Whether it was volunteering for weeks helping victims of Hurricane Andrew or staying late day after day to tutor struggling nursing students. Her nursing career started in hospitals, specializing in infection control, and continued to educating nursing students in Florida and Pennsylvania. Beverly is survived by her brother Henry Parks and his wife, Sara, of State College; daughter Debbie Irwin and her husband, Joe; son Michael Reagan and his wife, Andrea; grandchildren Bethany Weir and husband, Josh; and Sarah White and husband, Jeremy; and Joseph and Caitlin Reagan. Private family services will be held at Koch Funeral Home on August 20, 2016 with Burial immediately afterward in the Boalsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Beverly's name to the State College Food Bank at 1321 South Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801.
