Obituary of Frances E. Molinengo

Frances Ecrolina Callegari (Fran) Molinengo passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday August 16, 2016, at the age of 91, in State College. She was a native of Washington, D.C., having graduated from Central High School in 1943. She spent the last 11 years of her life living happily in State College, at Mount Nittany Residences. Predeceased by her husband of almost 40 years (Henry), Fran is survived by her daughter Mary Sher of Louisville, KY, her son Hank (Fran) of Springfield, VA, 5 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Known for her kindness to everyone, Fran loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she looked for the opportunity to serve others. A graveside service will be held at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Boulevard, Arlington, VA, on Friday, September 9, 2016, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to your local chapter of the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.
