Mary and Lawson were very dear to our family during our years at Southampton Baptist Church in Richmond. Mary spent many Sunday morning rocking our two boys (Aaron and Cameron) in the nursery. When my mother needed to move to Richmond and find a job, Mary and Lawson found a position for her in Lawson's office, and she was always grateful to him for that. We have such fond memories of both of them, and grieve your loss with you. May your memories and the knowledge of how they touched so many lives be of great comfort to all of you.

Mary was such a wonderful person and did service to the field of nutrition for many years in Virginia. Our deepest sympathy to her family. May she rest in peace, and have eternal life.

David, Tom, Sue, Libby and Family;
We are so sorry to hear that Mary has passed. It was a pleasure to live across the street from your family for so many years. Mary was so loving, caring and so willing to give up her time to help others. She always said that if she needed help she would ask us, but that was few and far between. She always believed that with the help of The Lord she could accomplish anything she had to. Hence double knee replacement instead of one at a time. The only time she really asked for help was when Lawson had fallen and could not get back up. We had to ask her if she wanted help during the storms that flooded her basement. She never wanted to impose on anyone for fear she might interrupt some one else's schedule. She was so selfless and an example for everyone to follow. Donnie and Debbie loved Mary and Lawson and all of you. They thought the world of her.
Mary was what we all aspire to be. We cherish all the fond memories of Mary and Lawson. We will miss her greatly.
Our love and prayers to you all

Children and Panky family,
We just heard of Mary's passing. What an extraordinary woman and all-around beautiful person. Both her and your Dad were the perfect example of how to be a quiet fulfilling person in this world. My parents were both so fond of her as were we and I know we all share the great thankfulness of having her in our lives. Please do not hesitate to stay in touch if you wish,
