Obituary of Jana Vicere

Jana Marie Vicere (March 31, 1981-June 18, 2011). Jana Marie Vicere died June 18, 2011 at her residence in Lemont. Born March 31, 1981, she is survived by her mother and father, Nancy and AI Vicere of Petersburg and her sister Marisa Vicere Brown and her husband Tom of Warminster, PA. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother,Donna Mae Yoset. Jana graduated from Penn State in May 2005 and was a member of the inaugural Women's Leadership Initiative in the College of Health and Human Development. She was a free spirit who loved art, poetry, writing, music, and the outdoors. She was a skilled counselor who cared deeply for others despite her own troubles. Friends will be received at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street State College on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 2-3pm . A service commemorating her life will be held immediately following at 3pm. Gifts in her memory should be made to the State College Area School District Community Education GED Program, 131 W. Nittany Ave., State College, PA 16801.
