Obituary of Danielle Margarete Yocum

Danielle Margarete Yocum, 34, of Port Matilda, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center. Born September 2, 1982 in Salem, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Dr. Margit Yocum of Lemont, and James M. Yocum, Jr., of St. Petersburg, FL. She is survived by both her parents and her father’s wife Marilyn Godbolt, her fiancé, Shawn Myers of Port Matilda and their daughter, Camryn. Danielle was also survived by her brother, Christopher Yocum and his wife, Stephanie of Hampstead, N.H, and a large network of cousins and nieces and nephews. She was a 2000 graduate of State College High School, and attended Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in Philadelphia. She worked as a Beautician/ Hairdresser. Her life’s passion was her family, her dogs, and the beach. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 pm on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Koch Funeral Home with the Reverend Ann Keeler Evans officiating.
