Obituary of Dalene C. Reichert
On November 1, 2016, Dalene, daughter of Harry and Hanna Coble, passed away at the age of 96. She lived her entire life in State College.
After high school graduation, she was a secretary in Penn State's College of Agriculture for many years. Years later, she returned to Penn State to make use of her secretarial background in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies through the Green Thumb program.
She was a member of the former St. John's United Methodist Church and later affiliated with Park Forest United Methodist Church.
She dearly loved her family and enjoyed animals, dolls, watching Penn State football, and creating beautiful flower arrangements weekly at St. John's.
Dalene married Edward Reichert with whom she had two daughters, Shelby Hoy and her husband Harold of Pennsylvania Furnace, and Vicky Lumpkin and her former husband Andrew of State College. She also had two grandchildren, Kelly Scalsky and her husband John of Lewisville, TX, and Denali Lumpkin of State College. Her children and grandchildren adored her and loved her to the moon and back.
Preceding her in death was a brother, John Coble, and a sister, Shirley Thomas. Surviving is a brother, Dean Campbell.
Friends and family will be received from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, November 7, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Pine Hall Cemetery, State College.
