Dear June and family, sending our deepest sympathy on the passing of Cecil. I always felt close to him as our mothers were close dear cousins and dear friends. Grew up hearing Cecil stories and always admired and loved him. My father loved the great farmer he was and that farm preservation was important to him. Sending you much love, comfort and peace, Hold dear your good memories of him. Our love to you all,
Rex and Elizabeth Summers Shaffner, Northville, Michigan

Our dear friend, June,
We are so sorry we couldn't attend the service for Cecil yesterday. We had hoped to get up for the viewing Sunday, and that didn't work out either. I know Cecil had many friends as you do too, and we hoped to be one of the many to express our sympathy to you in person. It has been a long difficult journey for you both and he will be deeply missed.
May your faith will give you peace and comfort at this time of deep loss. And we hope to give you that big hug real soon in church.
Blessings and love
Joe & Terri

May his memory be a blessing.

I want to offer my deepest sympathy to June, Ron, Todd and Tammy on the passing of your husband and father, Cecil. Many memories and emotions have come to the surface since yesterday. From trips down to Irvin's with Daddy as a little girl to babysitting the Irvin kids a few times as a teenager to watching the land be planted and harvested as an adult. I've cried and chuckled. I think of all the hard work Cecil did as a farmer, the love of the land he had, and the foresight to keep it preserved for the future as did my father. May you all find comfort in the memories and keep them close at heart. May Cecil and Daddy, friends and neighbors, meet in heaven once again.
