Nancy logged thousands of volunteer hours at hospitals in Syracuse, New York and at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Another passion was Duplicate Contract Bridge which she played all of her adult life. Nancy was a member of State College Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir.
She is survived by her husband Karl T. Smith, three sons: Eric P Smith (wife Cindy, children Hannah Corinne and Henry) of Peachtree City, GA, Mark N. Smith (wife Mary, children Kathleen, Matthew, Ryan, and Haley) of Lima, N.Y. , and Neil D. Smith (wife Tina) of Chicago, IL.
