I had the privilege to get to know Donna on the golf course via Central Counties; she would always call me Mary Jo! When my sister died she sent me a handout titled "Perspective", which I've shared with many others and would like to now share with you:
I am standing on the seashore. A ship spreads her sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean. I stand watching her until she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says, "She is gone!"
Gone where? The loss of sight is in me, not in her. Just at that moment when one says, "She is gone", there are others who are watching her coming. Other voices take up the joyful shout. "Here she comes"....and that is dying.
Godspeed.

Our condolences to Donna's family. We are a painting company in Vestal,Ny who has done work for Donna in the Broome county area. I personally dealt with Donna and can say that she was a beautiful person. She was always in a positive and confident mood when we talked. She will distantly be missed by our company and mostly myself. With deepest sympathy, Rob Pickett

I was a member of the "DIVAS" women's financial club with Donna. She was the loyal force that made our club work. She gave of herself and her knowledge to keep our club successful and together as friends. She will be greatly missed and not forgotten. And yes we enjoyed our ride with her! Peace be with you, Donna.

So sorry to hear of Donna's passing. I worked with her at Port Dickinson school and enjoyed her friendship for many years. I loved to hear about her many travels and her life experiences. She was a great person and a great teacher. I'll always remember her saying to the students, "If you had fun, then you won".
