Dear Beckman clan,
Blessings on the death of your adventurous, interesting, humorous, admirable mother. She and your dad were lifelong friends to my parents, starting when they were all young adults, living the Navy life. Your mom made me feel welcome, every time we visited your home. She had a hearty laugh, which helped me relax and enjoy our visits. Your childhood home was a comfortable place.
I wish I had gotten a chance to know her more deeply.
You are all very lucky, to have had such a creative, artistic mom.
Thinking of you, with empathy for the hard work of grief you are all engaged in,
Kim Wilbur

So sorry for the loss of your mom. She was such a lovely, positive and adventurous woman. I remember being in awe of the beautiful weavings she created. She was fortunate to have had a great family and friends, and to live to a very nice ripe age. She will be dearly missed by many. Thinking of you all. n

We will miss Mary so very much. She was a perfect friend --always there and always wonderful to be with. I will treasure the memories of Christmas in Verbier (where we met Tanya and her family), skiing in Montreal, kayaking, vacations in the hamptons and Rehoboth, biking from Lewis, Del to NJ to see Lisa and Bill off to Hawaii for their honeymoon, the looms she and George built for my girls, the hikes to find nuts, herbs etc to make dyes for her wonderful weaving. I could go on forever but she and George were the most wonderful Godparents (and substitute grandparents) for Shari and Wendy. I will miss the art festivals, the glasses of wine shared, the books exchanged and her sage and appropriate advice on everything. Our prayers and hugs for George and all of the family.
