This is a perfect picture of Avis--full of life and laughter, with a glint of mischief. Avis was ageless to me and I absolutely loved spending time with her. She taught me how to play Canasta; let me drag her to Bingo; took me to lunch at her favorite restaurant, just outside of State College; and not only watched a movie with Buddy and me, but also ventured outside with us. I have such fond memories of her and I am so grateful I was able to get to know her. My deepest condolences to you all. The woman pictured above—she was one of the greats. And I will never be able to walk past a can of Yuban without thinking of her.
With love,
Jennifer Piazza

Avis lived across the street from us in Cobble Creek. I did not know her well ( I am only there August-November) but she was always a delight to be around. I was so sad to hear about her death. What a great lady!
