Bob ["Murph" to most of you] was my one and only 1st cousin on my mother's side of my family. His Mom and mine were 2 of 4 sisters and the only ones who produced kids. As I am writing this on July 4, 2017, I am particularly reminded of the fun times he and I had together on July 4th back in the days before WWII changed our lives forever on December 7, 1941. Circumstances caused by the war lead to my Dad and Mom moving us to the west coast where I've lived ever since. Geographic distance kept us from the frequent visits we would both otherwise would have enjoyed, but I always have felt close to him in spirit because that's just how it was between us. I will miss Bob greatly.

Even though I moved away from the East Coast immediately after graduation, I managed to see Bob a few times over the past 60 years and Bob never changed from his fraternity days. He was always a great guy to be around and loved a good time. I shall always remember him as he was in the good old days at Penn State. Rest well Bob, you did your job and you did it with class.
Your friend and fraternity brother for life,
Howie

`Bob was a great fraternity buddy and overall a wonderful friend. Those who knew Bob at the fraternity and on some fishing experiences liked his stories and enjoyed his company. I'm sure that he will be missed. Pat and Sue McCarthy
