Obituary of Charles Lincoln Hunt

Charles Lincoln Hunt, III, 74, of Boalsburg, died on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, in State College. Born February 22, 1943, in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles Lincoln and Carolyn Mae Downing Hunt, Jr. He is survived by three children, Dawn M. Moran and her husband, Bob, of Palmetto, FL, Charles L. Hunt IV and his wife, Barbara, of Panama City, FL and Jennifer L. Cunningham of York; one sister, Marsha H. Bierly and her husband, Doug, of Spring Mills; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Downing and Richard Hunt. Charles was a 1963 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He was employed at Weis Market for over 40 years, starting at age 17 as a grocery clerk. He was employed by the State College Area School District as a bus driver and a lunch aide until his retirement in 2008. After retirement he managed his very own bus shuttle service. Charles was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, in Boalsburg, where he was very active with church activities. He was also a member of the Nittany Knights. He was a past member of the Bellefonte Jaycees and helped in the development of the Bellefonte Youth Center. Visitation will be 10 until 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at St. Johns United Church of Christ, 218 N. Church Street, Boalsburg. Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m., at the church with the Reverend Dr. Monica Ouellette officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns United Church of Christ, 218 N. Church St., Boalsburg, PA 16827.
