Obituary of Mildred Proffitt

Mildred E. Proffitt, 96, of State College, died Monday, July 18, 2011, at the Anthony House at Foxdale Village. Born March 8, 1915, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Joseph G. and Mabel Phillips Greenberg. She married Robert C. Proffitt, who preceded her in death. She is survived by two children, Carole P. Garver, of St. Clair Shores, Mich, Dennis R. Proffitt and his wife, Debbie, of Charlottsville, VA., and two grandchildren, Matthew and Jonathan. Mildred was a member of the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. A memorial service will be held at Foxdale Village at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Foxdale Residence Fund at 500 E. Marylyn Avenue, State College, PA 16801. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.
