Obituary of Susan Trotter

Susan Gaye Trotter departed for Heaven on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Sue, as she was known to all, said "Hello" to the world on October 7, 1955. She arrived at the Bellefonte Hospital before the doctor so she was delivered by a nurse. She was the youngest of the four children of Clarence and Margaret Trotter. Sue graduated from State College Area High School in 1974. After high school she attended the Empire Beauty School and obtained a certificate as a Beauty Culture Operator. Later she went to Hiram G. Andrews Rehabilitation Center in Johnstown and received a diploma as a "Kitchen Helper." Over the course of her life in State College, she was employed by Wendy's, Hills Department Store, Corning and other local businesses. In her leisure time Sue enjoyed many hobbies including knitting, crocheting and making beaded jewelry. Unfortunately, over time, Sue was challenged by several physical setbacks that ultimately resulted in her becoming bed-fast at a nursing home. Despite her confinement, Sue remained very good natured and pleasant and was a devout Christian always finding solace in the Bible. We therefore feel confident our Lord has welcomed her in heaven where she can walk with angels and join her beloved Mother Margaret. Sue is survived by her father, Clarence, sister, Linda and brothers, Terry and Robert. Visitation will be 10-11:30 A.M., Friday, August 19, 2011 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Chad Oberholtzer officiating Memorial Contributions may be made to Skills at 341 Science Park Road, State College, PA 16803.
