Dr. Cecil R. Trueblood was my academic mentor during my doctoral studies at The Pennsylvania State University. I have nothing but the fondest memories and respect for the many ways in which Cecil pushed my thinking, influenced my career in mathematics education and truly shaped my life.
My memories include helping Cecil coach soccer when his boys were younger (after all, he was a football player!); his ability to prod me when needed!; and especially the days when he took me to lunch at The Nittany Lion Inn (for a cheeseburger - which for this lowly grad assistant, was a VERY big deal).
I will miss him dearly and always, always remember him with great fondness
