I remember Tom during the years I grew up at Faith Church. Jake Wagner came during my high schools years and I sang in the choir with Tom. I married Steve Cote and he served under Jake during his internship. Tom and June were very special friends at Faith Church. God bless you all during this journey. ♥️♥️Joyce Meyer Cote and Steve

My condolences to the Brown family. Prof Brown was a true educator, and I am thankful for all that I was able to learn from him (AE Class of '87). His broader life perspective and kindness were a blessing, along with his deep knowledge of buildings. I am also thankful for his military service. Deepest sympathies, Lisa Barber

My sincere condolences to the Brown family. Prof Brown was one of my favorite professors at Penn State. I had him for architectural drawing and for plumbing design around 1990. He was an integral part of the AE department and helped it maintain a high level of competence and capability. I hope the service went well and that the family is comforted by the thoughts and prayers of many and by God's presence.

I'm deeply saddened to hear about the death of Prof. Brown.I am honored and blessed to have known Thomas. He taught me in 1983 during my Masters study at Penn State. I loved his personality and enjoyed his class with all sense of humor he has. Now I'm teaching the same courses he taught me, and very often I repeat to my students some of his jokes. I have great respect for him.
My condolences on the passing of Thomas to all family members.
May God give him eternal rest.

I am saddened and sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. He was part of a tremendous faculty in the college of engineering, architectural engineering major, when I attended PSU (University Park) starting in 1973. I remember Professor Brown teaching the AE coursework in the hot upper floor classrooms of the Engineering Unit buildings. He and his colleagues were instrumental in my education, one that led me to a professional engineering career spanning over 40 years in the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various building types. I will be forever grateful for the education that I received and for the exceptional group of professors in the architectural engineering department while I attended PSU.

I am a 1976 graduate of Penn State and had Tom way back then. He was just awesome and I cherish every moment I had with him. We had fun, we laughed and I learned so much. Today I am President of a company and I know Tom had some bearing on that.

Professor Brown was one of the few teachers that made a major difference in my education, and career. He spent quality extra time with me - gently helping me to understand the design of building structures. Just last week, I shared that pivotal experience with my wife.

Just read in the Penn State AE Newsletter of Tom's passing. To his family I send condolences of comfort as well as to share a spirit of his legacy as one of his students from the early 90's: Professor Brown not only taught engineering but great life guidance to always look up and around at my environment rather than many people who spend more time looking down at their feet! I continue to share those blessings forward.
