I would like to express my deepest sympathy for the loss you have suffered! Please know that God is a God of all comfort and he will be there for you during this time! (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) Psalms 34:18 tells us that God is close to the broken-hearted and he saves those crushed in spirit. Yes, God truly cares for you! Go to him in prayer and he will provide you with "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding " - Philippians 4:6,7. Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." -John 11:25. Yes, God truly cares about us and Jesus tells us we will see our loved ones again! I hope this brings you a measure of comfort as you endure this most difficult time.

Mrs. Wrenn. Please accept my condolences regarding the passing of your husband. Peter and Doug, I am so very sorry to read of the passing your father. All those years in College Heights, be it at the school yard or Sunset Park, I do not believe I met your father. I sincerely pray that God will bless each of you with his peace.

Gordon was my mentor for the Sales Division at the American Philatelic Society. He was an excellent teacher for his replacement when he retired. Many of us at APS fondly remember his years as our Director.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bess, Peter and Doug.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of Mr. Wrenn. Upon graduating in 1979, The American Philatelic Society was my first job in the real world. I worked for him in the Sales Dept. and eventually became his secretary for many years. He was always patient and kind. I've thought of him fondly through the years.

"Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning. And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." (Isaiah 26:19) This prophecy tells us that one day we will see our dead loved ones again in a new world! Please seek Jehovah God to see his promises fulfilled......

When I was a child growing up in Fall River, my parents bought the Wrenn home on Quequechan St. I Remember Gordon, Mrs Wrenn and her mother Mrs Spragle and when I was high school student, Gordon hired me to work on the cookie and candy counter at Grant"s. It was my first job. I saved that money to purchase student uniforms to enter nursing school. Please accept my condolences on the loss of this kind and gentle man.
