Rest in peace Gillian.
Gillian was a tremendous coach with a wonderful spirit and drive for competitiveness. You are forever etched in my fond Penn State memories as my FH coach yet also for your many ways of "coaching" players to be their best. I am grateful to have played for you. I have never taken that opportunity for granted rather I was inspired by you to also coach and officiate.
My condolences to her family and to all those who coached with her or played for her. There are no words to express the heartfelt sadness to learn of her passing. She and her family are in my prayers. I believe that our vast moments and memories of Gillian or with Gillian on the field will provide us comfort.
She is a driving force for how Penn State women athletics is now a top program. A long way from just playing on the grass field of paddock. Your legacy will continue to move on through the many generation of all the women you have impacted.
God Bless. Much love to a beloved coach.

Gillian was an amazing woman; charismatic, courageous and determined. Gillian made it possible for me to attend college and compete in field hockey and lacrosse. I am truly grateful for the opportunity she gave me to be a lady lion.
May you find comfort and peace during this time of grieving the loss of your loved one.
Kindest regards,
Christina Vitale

"Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning. And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." (Isaiah 26:19) This prophecy tells us that one day we will see our dead loved ones again in a new world! Please seek Jehovah God to see his promises fulfilled....

Thank you, Jill, for being so much more than a coach. You cared about your players both on and off the field, during and after their playing years. You were a good role model and we will never forget you. May God bless you as God blessed us by bringing you into our lives.
