Erik Foley posted a condolence
Sunday, April 8, 2018
John was a true man of God and unique scholar whose heart was as rigorous and active as his mind. There were so many times that, even among his struggles, he would send me a message telling me he was praying for my family. I will never forget his authenticity, his devotion to God and his family, his love for his wife, and his love for God's creation. I will miss him very much. Not necessarily because I saw him often but four more important reason. John is the kind of person that just made the world a better place and made me a better person just knowing that he was in it. God bless you my brother may you rest and enjoy your time with Christ Jesus.
