Obituary of Elizabeth B. Seavy

Elizabeth B. Seavy, 94, resident of State College, passed away on March 17, 2018 in State College.

Elizabeth was born in Hazleton, Pa. to Joseph and Helen Boyle on November 11, 1923. She went to Tamaqua High School and graduated in 1941. She worked as a lab technician at Atlas Powder Company for thirteen years. On December 5, 1953 she married George Ross Seavy. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, beach vacations, professional golf and Penn State sports.

Elizabeth is survived by her three sons, Jeffrey Seavy and wife, Lynn, of Bolivia, NC, Carey Seavy and wife, Richelle, of Clayton, NC, and Bruce Seavy and wife, Julie, of Bethel Park. She is also survived by two brother-in-laws, Thomas Price of Allentown and John Seavy of Hopewell, Va., sister-in-law Fran Seavy of Alliance, OH, and seven grandchildren, Laura, Luke, Daniel, Jared, Sean, Jake and Kristen. She is preceded in death by her brothers John Boyle, William Boyle and Joseph Boyle and sisters Helen Baer and Margaret Price.

Funeral service will be held at Koch Funeral Home on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Boalsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Arboretum at Penn State at https://arboretum.psu.edu.
