Obituary of Anne H. Keller

Anne H. Keller, 85, of State College, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg. Born October 12, 1932, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late A. Witt and Claire M. Homan Hutchison. On June 6, 1953 in State College, Anne married Edward W. Keller. Anne is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, Edward W. Keller; three sons, Steven E. Keller of Raymond, NH, William R. Keller and his wife, Janis, of Kingston, NY, and John W. Keller and his wife, Sara, of Manitou Springs, CO; seven grandchildren; and one brother, William Witt Hutchison and his wife, Elizabeth, of Altoona. In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Holzka. Anne graduated from State College Area High School in 1950. She received her bachelor's degree from Penn State University in arts and letters in 1954. Anne's greatest love was raising her children, a task which she undertook with great enthusiasm. From 1977 to 1994, she was a librarian for the Centre Daily Times. She was a member of State College Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at Schlow Library. Anne enjoyed hiking, camping, skiing, gardening, cooking, pottery, knitting, crocheting, and genealogy. A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Ozaki officiating. Burial will be in Graysville Cemetery.
