I met Dick in the late 1970's and became his co-worker in 1981. He was an outstanding engineer and a pleasure to work with. Many of us valued his wisdom on many subjects related to both work and life in general. He will be missed.
My kindest regards and condolences to Carol and the rest of the family. My prayers are with you all.
Jeremy

Bill and I were sorry to read of Smith's death in the Scranton paper. We have good memories of the times we spent with him and others in the early 70s. Loved his wit. Our sincerest sympathy to everyone in the family.
