Obituary of Katheryn Barnett Krieg
Katheryn Barnett "Kathy" Krieg, 88, of Bensalem, died Monday, April 2, 2018 in Boalsburg.
Born May 16, 1929, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Osborn Jefferson and Elizabeth Leopard Smith.
She is survived by four daughters, Dena Baker and her husband, Bill, of Levittown, Linda Krieg Puder and her husband, Jim, of Boalsburg, Samantha Monach and her husband, Jerry, of Bensalem and Avril Krieg and her husband, Ron, of Fairless Hills; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Krieg in 2008 and a sister, Elaine Coblentz.
Kathy was of the Jewish faith.
Kathy was an extraordinary family person, with a passion for art, whether it was painting, knitting or crafts, passing down her enthusiasm to many generations gave her considerable joy in her life. She loved to go to the track and would never turn down the chance to play the slots with a martini in hand, win or lose. She loved to watch old movies and could spend hours telling you about the actors like they were just some old friends she had dinner with last night. She was truly loved and will be dearly missed and surely never forgotten.
A graveside service will be held at Agudath Achim Memorial Park, 11531 Stone Creek Ridge Road Huntingdon, at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Avenue, Suite 1100 N, Bethesda, MD 20814 or visit www.cff.org.
