Obituary of Adeline DeChurch Matusky

Adeline Louise DeChurch Matusky, 89, of State College, PA, passed away on 6 April 2018 in State College, PA. Adeline was born in Sykesville, PA to Amerigo and Lucille DeChurch on 22 April 1928. She graduated from Sykesville High School in Sykesville, PA, class of 1946. After high school she worked as a utility girl at the Rockwell Meter Works in Sykesville, PA, and later worked as an administrative assistant for North Penn School District in Lansdale, PA for 25 years. She loved singing and dancing and was an avid fan of the TV show I Love Lucy. Adeline was actively involved in her church, Saint Stanislaus Parish of Lansdale, PA. Adeline is survived by her children, Paula Schroeder of Boalsburg, PA, Patrick Matusky (wife Denise) of Voorhees, NJ, Mary Ann Nagel (husband John) of Lansdale, PA, and Gregory Matusky (wife Judith) of Ardmore, PA. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren Joshua Tan (wife Catherine); Melissa, Matthew, and Mackenzie Matusky; Robert (wife Diana) and Jennifer Nagel; and Jonathan, Megan, and Jessica Matusky. She is also survived by her siblings: Lawrence DeChurch of Punxsutawney, PA, Alfred DeChurch (wife Phyllis) of Youngstown, OH, George DeChurch (wife Patricia) of Louisville, KY, and Patricia Clapsaddle of Whitmore Lake, MI. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Peter Matusky and sister Elsie DeChurch Maimone. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, PA on Tuesday 10 April 2018 from 10 to 11 am with a funeral mass immediately following, Fr. Anthony Sudherson officiating. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, Sykesville, PA at 2:00 pm. Koch Funeral Home of State College, PA will be handling the funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Saint Stanislaus Parish, 51 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446.
