Obituary of Ella Joann Houtz

Ella Joann Houtz, 80, of State College, died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born April 9, 1938, in Centre County, she was the daughter of the late George and Frances Wilson Decker. On June 29, 1957, she married Donald Edward Houtz, who preceded her in death. She is survived by two children, Linda Dreibelbis and her companion, Rusty Burgett, of Grovespring, MO and Michael Houtz and his companion, Marci Miezio, of TX; one a brother, Donald Decker of St. Charles, MO, and one granddaughter, Brittany Bierlair of TX. Ella graduated from the State College High School in 1957. She worked as a cashier for K-Mart. Ella was a member of the State College Evangelical Free Church. She loved spending time with her friends and playing cards. Memorial Service will be Friday, June 15, 2018 at 3pm at the State College Evangelical Free Church, 1243 Blue Course Drive, State College.
