Obituary of Peter John Rembiesa

Peter John Rembiesa, 69, of State College, died on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at home. Born March 15, 1949, in Kraków, Poland, he was the son of the late Stanislaw Rembiesa and late Irena (Debowska) Rembiesa. He is survived by Anna, Eryk, and their family, along with many friends. He earned his undergraduate degrees and his Ph.D. from Jagiellonian University in physics. Peter was briefly an assistant at Jagiellonian University prior to moving to the United States. Peter was a professor for over 25 years at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in Charleston. He retired as the head of the physics department in 2011. Peter was an avid reader and especially enjoyed historical books. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Boalsburg Cemetery with Celebrant Jackie Hook officiating.
