My sincerest condolences to Shel's family. Prof. Alexander was an exceptional, highly intelligent, gentle, and caring individual. He was one of my professors, my undergraduate thesis advisor, my mentor, and my friend.
I recall our conversations about his close and loving family, particularly being very proud of his two daughters and grandchildren. I fondly remember sharing our experiences with the Air Force...I was in the process of gaining my commission at the time. We will miss him dearly.
