Carol, Tom and Family — Marge was one class act. We met through AAUW. I was part of her State Board of Directors in the late 1970s. She was a dignified feminist and a pleasure with whom to work. Our friendship grew to my being part of the national AAUW Research & Projects Committee since my career was in technology development. In her later years when I no longer lived in State College she would so appreciate when I would stop by to visit her when I was back in town doing things at Penn State. She was a great friend and contributed significantly to the orignizations with which she was affiliated. She will be greatly missed by many. You have my condolences. Claire Huschka Sink, Baltimore MD

Once in a while, you meet someone whom you immediately feel connected to. I felt that way when I first met Marge. Marge and I connected over hairstyles. She had a keen fashion sense and knew exactly how the woman in the mirror should look. I enjoyed visiting with her, seeing photos of her past hairstyles, and listening to stories about her accomplishments in life, family, and all that she valued. She lovingly shared the history of the glassware she displayed, her painted portrait a remembrance of a treasured time, and how she appreciated and beamed with pride for her family. I am truly blessed to have known Marge, my only regret, I didn't have more time to visit with her. Her beauty and grace will always be a cherished memory for me.

I offer my condolences to Marjorie's family. I knew Marjorie first through our membership in the Pennsylvania Humanities Council and later socially in State College. When she was recognized as the Renaissance Woman of the Year, I was privileged to address the gathering as the representative of the PHC. She was a great person and leader of many organizations; she led a fulfilling life of service to the community and the Commonwealth. RIP, my friend.

Mrs. Dunaway was one of my very favorite customers at Harrison's. She was filled with class and always so kind with her warm smile that she always wore. She always looked impeccable. She brightened up the dining room every time she entered and we, as a whole staff, always were excited when we saw her name in the reservation book. She was someone that if I hadn't seen her in in some time, I always asked about her, hoping she was doing well. I heard of her passing this morning. I will miss her immensely. I'm sorry for your loss in her passing.

On behalf of AAUW Pennsylvania, I offer sincere condolences. Your mother's commitment to AAUW and contributions at the branch, state, and national level are an inspiration to all. As the current AAUW Pennsylvania President, I gain strength knowing of the dedicated women who previously held the position. AAUW benefited from your mother's pioneering spirit and generosity of time, talents, and resources. Her contributions are remembered and celebrated.
